2007 Glengarry Glen Ross

by David Mamet
directed by Jeremy Skidmore

’Always Be Closing.’

The Keegan Theatre returns for its ninth annual Ireland Tour with David Mamet’s 1984 Pulitzer Prize-winning Glengarry Glen Ross. Directed by Jeremy Skidmore, Artistic Director of Washington DC’s Theater Alliance and two-time Helen Hayes Award nominee, the play features seven male actors, including Keegan’s Producing Artistic Director Mark A. Rhea, known to Irish audiences for his eight previous tour performances in such plays as Death of a Salesman in 2006 (Biff) and A Streetcar Named Desire in 2005 (Stanley).

Infused with David Mamet’s trademark dialogue,Glengarry Glen Ross explores the cutthroat world of selling and its ruthless inhabitants. Once named "the bard of immorality," Mamet pits five real estate salesmen in a ferocious battle for their lives as they ricochet form the exhilaration of success to the degradation of failure.
