Meet Trudi Olivetti
Dramaturg of The Keegan Theatre

Trudi Olivetti was a librarian at the National Gallery of Art for 25 years. She has an academic background in art history, musicology and literature, and prepares the study guides and program notes for all Keegan main stage productions, these include Agnes of God, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Bold Girls, Death of a Salesman, Portrait of a Madonna, Suddenly Last Summer, A Streetcar Named Desire, Side Man, The Playboy of the Western World, The Crucible, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Romeo and Juliet, A Lie of the Mind, Buried Child, The Hostage, as well as musical and theatrical events for other or-ganizations in the Washington area.

 In addition to dramaturgy work for The Keegan Theatre, Ms. Olivetti has also provided notes and reports for numerous other musical and theatrical organizations and events in the Washington area.

 Prior to each production, Ms. Olivetti researches and prepares relevant information for the cast and crew with colorful historic details about the play, the playwright, the characters, and the time frame in which the play is set.

 The Keegan Theatre is proud to participate in the League of Washington Theatres’ Stages for All Ages program. As part of the 2005 Stages for All Ages, for all Keegan Theatre ’Stages’ productions, Ms. Olivetti will create special study guides.
