The Glass Menagerie
From the Metro:
Take the Blue or Yellow lines to the Crystal City Metro Stop. Immediately take the escalator to top and turn right. Walk until you see sign saying Clark Street. Turn left, walking under the office building complex and keeping the overhead freeway on your left hand side. You will be walking due North along the sidewalk for about 8 minutes passing the 15th and 12th Streets and then across 10th Street where ahead on your right you'll see the access drive to the Crystal City Motel and a red brick warehouse just beyond it, which is the Clark Street Playhouse. Ease to the right past the Motel and into our parking lot. Proceed to the other end of the brick building and enter the double to doors to the Box Office.
Depending on your point of origin - Take I-395 South toward Richmond and/or 14th Street Bridge toward Virginia. You will pass the Reagan National Airport Exit and take the very next exit, which is Exit #9 - Clark Street. At bottom of ramp there is a yield sign. You can only go right. Turn right and get into left lane. Continue past the 395 onramp to the end of the road where you will be facing a tree. Turn right and immediately ease to the left. You are now on Clark Street. As you drive you will see Public Storage on your right and fencing on your left. Follow the fencing for about ¼ mile. When the fencing ends, make an immediate left onto our access road and into our parking lot. We are in the red brick warehouse, just before the Crystal City Motel.
From Route 66:
Take 66 East toward DC. Take the 110 South exit just before crossing the Roosevelt Bridge. Continue in the left lane of 110 until it merges to the Route 1 South right lane. Immediately exit on Pentagon City/15th Street Exit. Turn Right on 15th. Go to the next light, which is Eads St., and turn right. Go to 12th Street and turn right. Go under freeway to light where sign says Old Jeff Davis Highway and Clark Street. Turn LEFT. Proceed to across 10th Street and ahead on your right you will see Crystal City Motel and the red brick warehouse just beyond it. This is the Clark Street Playhouse. Ease right onto the access drive, past the Motel and turn right into our parking lot.
From Route 1/Alexandria:
Take Route 1 North towards DC. Just past Potomac Yard shopping center, take the Crystal City Drive exit on right. Continue on this through Crystal City staying in the right hand lane. After 20th Street, the road curves left leading you to a light at Old Jeff Davis Highway. Turn Right. Up ahead on the right, you will see Crystal City Motel. Proceed toward motel, then past it to the red brick warehouse which is the Clark Street Playhouse.
From 395 North:
Take 395 toward DC. Follow signs to Route 1, then past it to Boundary Channel/Reagan Airport exit #10 A/B. Turn right to Boundary Channel and at split you will see sign for Clark Street pointing left. Turn left. You will come to a large intersection with no light with on and off ramps for 395 - Go straight through this intersection, and as you clear it, the road makes a soft S to the left, so ease to the left and you are now on Clark Street. As you drive you will see Public Storage on the right and fencing on the left. Follow fencing for about ¼ mile. When the fencing ends, make an immediate left onto our access road into our parking lot. We are in the red brick warehouse, just before the Crystal City Motel.
