Keegan's Artistic Director, Mark A. Rhea, Selected for Canadian Washington Theatre Partnership
Helen Hayes Awards Announces the 2006 Canadian Washington Theatre Partnership Recipients

The unprecedented support of The Canadian Embassy in Washington continued for the sixth year when the recipients of the 2006 Canadian Washington Theatre Partnership were announced in September.
This year’s recipients are artistic directors Christopher Henley of Washington Shakespeare Company and Mark Rhea of The Keegan Theatre.
Like their predecessors who have participated in the program, Mr. Henley and Mr. Rhea will explore the innovative offerings currently being produced in Canada, have rare access to a myriad of Canadian theatre presentations, and meet with Canadian artists during an intense weeklong excursion.
All Washington area artistic directors who have not previously participated in the program were invited to apply. Re-Printed from a Helen Hayes Awards e-newsletter of October 4, 2006.
Mark’s trip will begin March 11, 2007; some of the theatres, people and places he is scheduled to visit include:
Theatre Passe Muraille

Playwrights Guild of Canada
Tarragon Theatre
Ontario Arts Council
Video Cabaret

Buddies in Bad Times Theatre
